CM Launches Rs 2B Livestock Card for Rural Women: Steps To Apply!
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched an initiative to distribute free livestock to deserving women especially (divorcees and widows) and also launched the livestock card scheme for the livestock ranchers across the province. Maryam Nawaz Sharif has earmarked a grant of Rs 2 billion to distribute free livestock among deserving women in Punjab.

This initiative has not only been taken for the prosperity of farmers and women, but in response to this move, the production of meat and milk in the province will increase, which will also meet local needs and support exports.

CM Punjab’s RS 2 Billion Livestock Outlay For Rural Women
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif organizes many initiatives across the province, which is very beneficial for the people of the entire province. Maryam Nawaz Sharif has allocated two billion rupees for this project through which free livestock will be distributed among women, and a higher quota of this livestock disbursement is reserved for women of South Punjab.
وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف صوبے بھر میں بہت سے اقدامات کا اہتمام کرتی ہیں جو کہ پورے صوبے کے عوام کے لیے بہت سود مند ہیں۔ مریم نواز شریف نے اس منصوبے کے لیے دو ارب روپے مختص کیے ہیں جس کے ذریعے خواتین میں مفت مویشی تقسیم کیے جائیں گے اور اس لائیو سٹاک کی تقسیم کا زیادہ کوٹہ جنوبی پنجاب کی خواتین کے لیے مختص ہے۔ اس اقدام کے تحت صوبے کی بیٹیوں کے لیے باوقار روزگار کے دروازے کھولے جائیں گے، جس کے ذریعے وہ خودمختار زندگی گزار سکیں گی۔ دیہی خواتین کو گائے اور بھینسیں فراہم کی جائیں گی، جنہیں وہ پالیں گی اور اپنا دودھ بیچ کر روزی کمائیں گی۔
Under this initiative, dignified employment will be opened for daughters of the province, through which they will be able to lead an independent life. Rural women will be provided with cows and buffaloes, which they will raise and earn a living through selling their milk.
Districts Selected For Benefitting 11,000 Rural Women
This scheme has been allocated for selected districts of Punjab, only those belonging to the eligible districts. 11,000 women will benefit from the CM Livestock distribution program. 12 districts across Punjab have been shortlisted, which are listed below:
Free Livestock Application Process Via App
All rural women can register themselves in the CM Punjab Livestock Distribution Program from home. The Government of Punjab has allocated a very easy online application process through which those who are sitting at home and have internet access can register themselves through the Livestock Asset App.

Women Can Register Easily By Visiting Nearest Veterinary Hospital:
Women who do not have internet access need not worry at all because there is an offline method of registration as well. All women who do not have online facilities can visit the nearest veterinary hospital, discuss their concerns with the government representative present there, submit their necessary documents, and complete their registration.
Eligibility Criteria For Dhi Rani To Apply For The Program
The government of Punjab has specified the simple eligibility criteria for widows and divorcees across Punjab. Only Women who meet the requirement will be eligible for the free cows and buffaloes.

Increment Of Milk And Meat Production Contribute In Country’s Export:
Maryam Nawaz Sharif also made it clear in her address that this initiative will not only become a source of employment with dignity and respect for women, but it will also have a positive impact on the local economy and the export of the province.

Kisan Can Purchase Feed Of Up to 270,000 By Livestock Card
The Punjab Minister has also launched a Livestock Card scheme. Livestock cards will be given to livestock farmers across Punjab. Punjab CM and the Punjab Government have decided to provide Livestock cards to 80,000 Kisans across.
All Livestock Ranchers can purchase feed for their cattle of up to Rs 270,000 for purchasing Vanda, Mineral Mix, and Silage, through the Livestock Card.
CM Emphasises Women’s Prosperity as Their Right
Maryam Nawaz Sharif, during her conference, emphasized that our support for the
Women in our country are very important. She also said that rural women living across the country cannot be left alone because prosperity is the right of every woman. In her statement, Maryam Nawaz Sharif highlighted the rights of women and the importance of their development.

400,000 Livestock Will Be Prepare For Export
The Punjab government has set a target that up to four lakh livestock will be prepared and exported under this Livestock Card Scheme. It has also been added through the initiative that the international status should be taken into account for the export contribution so that the product can maintain its demand in the global market. Through the scheme, all the necessary resources will also be provided to the farmers through which the production and quality of their livestock will be further improved.
Each Kisan Can Apply for 10 Livestock
Kisans can apply for up to 10 animals through the Livestock Card, a farmer will receive a grant of Rs 27,000 per animal, and up to Rs 270,000 for 10 animals. All silage, wanda, and mineral mixes can only be purchased from government-registered dealers.
All purchases made through Livestock Card will be made from registered dealers who are available across the province.
Animal Traceability System Will Be Implemented For Cattle Care:
It has also been decided to implement an Animal Identity Traceability System to identify and keep records of livestock. With the help of this system, data of each livestock can be managed such as health history, vaccination records, and breeding-related information.
The aim is to make livestock care and management easier. Under the scheme, farmers will be provided with free facilities such as digging, insemination, feeding, feed testing, etc.
