President Asif Ail Zardari has made a historic launch on the birth anniversary of his late wife, Benazir Bhotto, under his leadership the 8171 BISP Program has launched a new pivotal scheme to equip the Beneficiaries or their family members with a developmental schemes so that they can uphold their families financially.

Benazir Hunarmand Program: Launch On 21 June

In addition to launching the Benazir Hunarmand Program, which seeks to give young people access to state-of-the-art vocational training to prepare them for global competitiveness, President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday reaffirmed his longstanding commitment to social uplift and human development through the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).

Among the notable attendees were Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, federal ministers, lawmakers, international ambassadors, and others.

Significant Step Towards Youth Empowerment

“We have empowered millions of people through the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).” At a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, he formally launched the Benazir Hunarmand Program, marking a significant step towards youth empowerment through advanced skill development. “Now, with the launch of the Benazir Hunarmand Program, we are equipping our youth with the skills and tools they need to build a better future,” he said.

Cutting Edge Vocational Training Via Hunarmand Program

In order to enable Pakistani youth to compete internationally, he emphasized that the program would offer state-of-the-art vocational training, including computer technology and foreign languages like German and Chinese. The President stated, “We want the children of laborers to acquire skills that enable them to support their families with dignity and make a meaningful contribution to the nation.”

Importance Of Hunarmand Programme

President Zardari emphasized the significance of the Benazir Hunarmand Program, saying that skill development was essential for both national advancement and training a skilled labor force to satisfy the rising demand in global markets. “We should give our young people the modern technical skills that are needed all over the world,” he said.

Training In Nursing Field 

He emphasized the importance of the nursing profession, describing it as one of the most in-demand professions globally, and he called for training in this area to be given particular focus.

He emphasized the need to improve training standards in order to reach global standards, pointing out the demand for qualified people worldwide, especially in the nursing field. According to the President, the Benazir Hunarmand Program carries on that tradition by empowering and providing opportunities for communities to flourish.

Senator Rubina Khalid Thought Over Hunarmand Scheme

The new program is part of a strong portfolio of BISP programs that target multifaceted poverty, including Benazir Kafalat, Taleemi Wazaif, Undergraduate Scholarships, and Nashonuma.

Senator Khalid underlined that although financial aid offers necessary relief, skill development is what truly brings about economic advancement and dignity:”Our beneficiaries require more than short-term assistance. Our goal is to make them competitive and employable in the labor market. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s abiding philosophy that “skill is your asset” is reflected in this program.
